Ghost In Saturn
AGENT: damian@brave-music-agency.co.uk
Malika and Moon have been making music together for 13 years in various projects including the band Mashiro, whose music was was used on the soundtrack for the MTV Dirty Sanchez movie, and B-Zero where they produced music with young prison inmates. They have also toured extensively and worked on musical projects in Africa. Formed in 2010 ‘Ghost in Saturn?’ is born of long held desire to shape and control their own musical vision.
With an undoubted cinematic influence, they name Alejandro Gonzalez Innaritu, Lars Von Triers, David Lynch, The Cohen Brothers and Scorsese as being key influences. This is music that is elemental, shot through with nocturnal disquiet and bristling with unspoken threats and fears, while being powerfully visual in its moods.
But what of their unusual name? It could be a movie title, something without obvious musical connotations, or a reference to distant planets and strange worlds far beyond our experience

Gary Clail
In 1987, Gary Clail emerged as a solo artist from the incredibly incestuous underground British funk/rap/reggae scene that also spawned at least half of the On-U Sound artist stable. Over instrumental backdrops that alternate between reggae (courtesy of Dub Syndicate) and funk (courtesy of various members of Tackhead).
Gary forged a place in the Bristol electronic underground where he worked improvising raps on tapes released by On-U artists. He was taken in by the label to work with Tackhead and the On U Sound System in the late '80s, resulting in a series of 12" releases from 1985-87 before his first full-length release for Nettwerk, Tackhead Tape Time by Gary Clail & Tackhead. In 1989, he had his true debut album in Gary Clail & On-U Sound System.
2012 sees Gary Clail return to the music scene, with a number of sold out concerts, as well as the expectation of a new solo album, Nailed To The Mast, scheduled for a release in early 2013.
Joined by Andy Chapman and Mani Montanna, Gary continues his hard-edged-dub political stance.

F.O.E.
A truly multicultural band of the modern era with members from Spain, France, Wales and North West England, we are and offer an esoteric and hypnotic sound, characterised by a darkly sensual and cinematic fusion of drum & bass, Dubstep, Latin rhythms, soulful melodies, dub grooves and acid jazz inspired digression live with a full band and MC.
Having recently recruited a trombone/guitar player Stu Nicholls (ex Roseville Band) and rapper J McCurdy (ex Drunken Munks and stalwart of the Manchester hip hop scene) they are now a 7 piece outfit with an avant garde approach. They are equally happy making sunny reggae grooves, acid jazz infused hip hop or packing dance floors with bass heavy, synth drenched drum n bass and dubstep workouts.
FOE's set has been tailored as a result of their considerable live experience and has been designed to enthuse, engage and most importantly get the crowd jumpin'.

The Penelopes
AGENT: tobin@brave-music-agency.co.uk
Ladies and gentlemen, meet The Penelopes. Friends since birth and raised practically as brothers, Axel Basquiat and Vincent T (for it is they) hail from Paris and make the kind of sun-kissed, effortless electro-tinged indie anthems that belie the fact that they're musical upbringing was based almost completely on British bands such as The Cocteau Twins and New Order. Born in the north of Paris, in the same apartment block, they didn't really 'meet', they've just always known each other. “It was like a brother, you never say 'oh, I met him at one or two'. I've always lived with or near Axel. It's very strange and rare” explains Vincent.

This Morning Call
AGENT: Tobin@brave-music-agency.co.uk
This Morning Call is the unusual moniker of an electronic pop producer from the UK -
Ben Heyworth.
Based in South Manchester, Ben’s unashamedly eclectic and often downbeat style borrows from the likes of Keane, The Postal Service, and A-ha. It’s an exciting new direction in a city already blessed with a rich musical inheritance, an independent spirit and an international reputation.
Mixing traditional indie balladry with electronic quirks, glitch and ambience, he draws a sombre line under the increasingly creative goings on in the electro scene, whilst putting a quiet rocket under the traditional guitar band set-up.
In 2009, This Morning Call found a home on Substream, Sweden’s finest independent record label, and his debut single “Tides” is available now as a digital download with exclusive new club mixes, available worldwide. The track has already received radio support and podcasted its way around the net to considerable acclaim. The mixes, from the likes of DJ Adler (from the riotous electro outfit Saint Pauli, DE), Supercycle (Canada), and Blue Cell (DE), have each turned the original into anthemic, hands-in-the-air, floor fillers
The debut album “All Quiet At 4AM” is slated for release on CD and digital formats on 29th March 2010. “We’ve done all sorts of shows in the past to support our releases”, explains Ben, “and it’s the more innovative stuff that sticks in the mind, like our “Live Art” installation we did for the Futuresonic Festival, where local artists literally painted the audience while they watched the show, and auctioned the resulting canvas”.
The project has been variously described as “Portishead on anti-depressants” (WeHeartMusic, USA) and “LCD Soundsystem with a hangover” (Channel 4 Music, UK), and indeed this is music to lift the soul, engage the brain and move the feet.
“This Morning Call is one of the most wonderful acts we have heard this year.” (Channel 4 Music)
