Nev Cottee

After playing bass with Manchester band Proud Mary - supporting the likes of Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Oasis and Paul Weller to name but a few - Nev took up Djing after being invited along to the legendary ‘Rock And Roll Bar’ at South Nightclub. A residency of six years with fellow DJ’s Phil Beckett and Jeff Thomas cemented his reputation as a ‘Rock And Roll Bar’ favourite playing across the board from Bowie to Bacharach, Blondie to Beck.

In 2005 Nev started his daily slot on 96.2 The Revolution - a highly regarded Manchester based radio station. His ‘Evening Session’ can be heard weekdays from 6 till 10 on The Revolution, playing the best in new music, classic tunes and unsigned bands. Every night there's a Featured Album covered, there’s ‘The Really Hard Quiz With No Prize’ as well as Pipe and Slippers - your nightly opportunity to put life's trials and tribulations on hold whilst you kick back and relax to some mellow tunes.

Whether it be the best unsigned music around or classic tunes from the past forty years The Evening Session is the place to be.
