Feeling Gloomy

Feeling Gloomy

Feeling Gloomy is probably one of the world's most famous club nights. Its been reported on from Poland, to Belgium, to Ecuador, not to mention major features in the likes of the Guardian, The Times, Daily Mirror and on Radio 1 plus far too many other bits to mention.

Running for nearly six years in London the club is now also exporting the Gloom to New York and Berlin! Feeling Gloomy have played at nearly every major UK festival and even been asked to film a pilot for MTV.

As you may see this is no bog standard indie night or dull Britpop do. Feeling Gloomy is sad music to make you happy! Few mix up the genres as much as the gloom and few still with have you dancing so hard tears of joys fall on to your sore little feet. Feeling Gloomy will take you from The Smiths and The Cure, to Joy Division, via Dolly Parton, Elvis and Bruce Springsteen, back to Blur and The Killers.

Guests at Feeling Gloomy have included Suede's Brett Anderson, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker and UK indie film legend Paddy Considine.

Join Len and Cliff, DJ Grim Reaper, Sullen Sean and the UK's only indie air guitar band, 'The Miserablists', as they break out the cheese and pickle sarnies and sweet tea and sympathy.
Try it, You'll have a bawl!

A few press quotes:

"Revel in your angst at this celebration of misery"
Guardian

"The maestros of mooching"
Time Out

"Brilliant fun, despite what the promoters want you to think"

Wot evs.

This Is How It Feels

This Is How It Feels

A night of Madchester, Britpop, baggy, Hacienda, Indie and club classics.

The night takes shape as either a live show into a club night, or a a straight-forward club night. We select the best remaining players from the greatest eras of British music and clubbing, stick them back on stage and then follow the show with an amazing club night with the scenes best known DJs and faces. The vibe is strictly high times with Adidas clothing a must!

Greasy Lips

Running over venues all over the country, this new night will feature a host of the best unsigned bands handpicked to perform by none other than Alan McGee along with Jamie Kelly and Paul Gallagher. With the focus very much the untamed talent on show, Alan will offer his time, knowledge and advice to the bands and also push the acts and event through his blogs, making the opportunity to perform on the Greasy Lips Club stage a real sort after setting.

The acts Alan McGee been involved with over 20 years read like a who's who of modern British indie/rock (the guy has managed everyone from Mogwaie to The Charlatans to The Libertines). Not only did he fashion Britpop out of his Creation Records imprint and triumphantly return with the Poptone label. As you can imagine, this new concept club night not only offers a platform for those involved to push their sound, but a chance to really develop their own path for the future.

Alan McGee himself will be hosting the event and will be DJing through the evening with a plethora of other guest DJ's welcomed to the Club over the months ahead. Other resident DJs include Drew McConnell (Babyshambles), Paul Gallagher and Jamie Kelly.

The man responsible for launching the careers of Oasis, Primal Scream and The Hives, plays a DJ set that will take the roof off any London venue! McGee's sets are notoriously eclectic, spanning punk, indie, rock and always a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
